A conference for gay men to connect, discuss, strategise, and be inspired across a range of topics affecting our lives.

The Gay Men’s Conference 2027 is a one-day event in London for gay men (same-sex attracted adult human males) to connect, discuss, strategise, and be inspired across a range of topics.

Unlike many other conferences, this is not a day of passive listening or back-to-back speeches. Our focus is on interactive discussions and productive outcomes that benefit gay men and strengthen gay male community life.

The Gay Men’s Conference has become an annual gathering for gay men in London and beyond, with attendees travelling from across the UK, Europe, and North America.

The full programme, timetable, and speaker details will be shared on our website once confirmed.

Programme

1. Understanding Modern Homophobia

Homophobia has not disappeared, but it has changed. Understanding its modern forms is essential if it is to be effectively addressed. This session will explore the forms of homophobia affecting gay men today, where they come from, and how they could be addressed.

2. Meeting Gay Men's Health Needs

From addiction and mental health, to sexual health and ageing, gay men face a range of health challenges. This session will consider the most important unmet health needs of gay men and what meaningful progress would look like.

3. Addressing Stereotypes and Assumptions

How are gay men viewed today, and what assumptions shape those perceptions? This session will explore the stereotypes that continue to influence how gay men are understood, represented and treated, and discuss how harmful assumptions can be challenged.

4. Protecting Gay Male Spaces and Support

Single-sex gay male spaces, groups and services play an important role in the lives of many gay men, but what should they provide and why do they matter? This session will explore the expectations gay men have of providers that claim to serve them and consider how those expectations can be met.

Location

For security reasons, the venue will be announced only to ticket holders, and only a few days before the event. The conference will take place in central London, close to transport connections and accommodation. We’ll gradually narrow this down to the relevant part of London as we get nearer to the day, sharing enough information in advance for you to plan travel and accommodation.

Passes

Your Conference Pass includes access to all sessions and activities in the programme, as well as lunch and refreshments throughout the day. We’ve simplified the options again this year, while still aiming to maximise access for as many people as possible.

The Signature Pass includes everything in the Standard Pass, plus a commemorative conference T-shirt and a mystery gift. Choosing a Signature Pass helps fund subsidised places and extend participation. It also helps provide places for the volunteer team who make the conference possible.

If cost is a barrier to attending — whether due to income, travel, or other circumstances — please get in touch. We have a limited number of subsidised places available.

Our first conference sold out by the start of November, and last year’s sold out by the end of October. We recommend booking your place early to avoid disappointment.

Audience

Passes for this conference are exclusively for gay men, on the basis of our protected characteristics as defined by the Equality Act 2010: Sex, Sexual Orientation, and Belief (or lack thereof). If you purchase a Pass and do not meet the eligibility criteria for this event, your Pass will be cancelled without refund and your payment will be considered a donation.

Donations, Sponsorship, and Support

If you’re buying a Pass and would like to make an additional donation, or if you’re not buying a Pass and would still like to support the event, or if you are not a gay man but wish to support a conference for gay men, there is a Donations option via the Get Tickets button. You can also make donations direclty on our webiste: https://humangaymale.com/donate

We also offer a range of sponsorship opportunities for organisations wishing to support the conference as a whole or specific aspects of the event. Sponsorship can involve inclusion in direct emails to our members and promotion via our social media channels.

For sponsorship enquiries, please email info@humangaymale.com

Exhibition

We offer a limited number of exhibition spaces for organisations that are relevant to gay men. Where an organisation has someone attending the conference as a paid participant, exhibition space is provided at no additional cost. If an organisation would like to exhibit but does not have anyone eligible to attend the conference sessions, a per-person Exhibitor Access ticket is available. Please get in touch if you’d like to discuss booking an exhibition stand: info@humangaymale.com
