The discussion will focus on degree-d rational plane curves passing through 3d-1 generic points and will aim to extend the proof of Kontsevich’s recurrence formula. Some snacks will be provided before and after the talk.
Title: Degree-d Rational Plane Curves Passing through Generic 3d-1 Points Speaker: Zhaoyang Liu Abstract: We will talk about degree‑d rational plane curves through 3d-1 generic points, counted by N_d. Our target is to stetch the proof of Kontsevich’s celebrated recurrence formula, which computes all N_d recursively. We will explain its geometric origin and talk a bit about the moduli spaces and associativity of quantum cohomology. Some snacks will be provided before and after the talk.
