Join us for a talk with acclaimed crime fiction authors Paul Waters and Ajay Chowdhury in conversation with Dan Carrier of the Camden New Journal. They will be discussing crime and thriller writing that spans India, Ireland, the UK and America. Paul Waters is from Belfast, but fell in love with India when he fell in love with his wife, Aneysha, from Delhi. She suggested he set stories in India. He was also inspired by his auntie, who spent her career as an Irish teaching nun in India – even teaching his wife’s late mother. Death at the Elephant House is the second in Paul’s Irish-Indian cosy crime series set in today’s old Delhi and is the sequel to the acclaimed Murder In Moonlit Square. www.paulwatersauthor.com Ajay Chowdhury is the inaugural winner of the Harvill Secker-Bloody Scotland prize, a tech entrepreneur, and a theatre director. His first novel, The Waiter has been optioned for TV. His standalone thriller Eden Falls was published in July and the next book in his Kamil series, The Patriot , is out in November.
