About Pride Pride at the Bridge Theatre is a new musical set in 1984, during a period of political upheaval in the UK. It follows 24-year-old activist Mark Ashton as he brings together lesbian and gay campaigners and striking miners in South Wales, building an alliance between two communities under pressure. Following record-breaking sold-out runs at Cardiff’s Sherman Theatre and London’s National Theatre, the production moves to the Bridge Theatre from 12 November. Written and directed by the team behind the original hit film, it features an original soundtrack inspired by pop, rock, disco and the Welsh choral tradition. Running time: 2 hrs 40 mins, including a 20 min interval. Before you book Age guidance: Suitable for ages 12 and over. Content: This production contains flashing and strobing lights and haze.
