About Room on the Broom (2026)

Room on the Broom (2026) at the Lyric Theatre is Tall Stories’ stage adaptation of the picture book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler. The story follows a witch and her cat on a broomstick as they pick up a dog, a green bird and a frog, before the broom snaps in two just as a hungry dragon appears.

This Olivier Award-nominated show is aimed at audiences aged 3 and up and comes from Tall Stories, known for imaginative storytelling theatre. The production turns the well-known book into a live performance built around the tale’s characters, songs and puppetry.
