This event offers access to The London Archives' Information Area in preparation for research over July, August, and September 2026. Attendees can tour the facility to understand how to best utilise its available research resources. It provides an opportunity to assess the utility of professional archival facilities.

In this general introductory session to using The London Archives, you'll tour the public Information Area to find out about the on-site research facilities and a range of digital resources too.
Discover the types of records that we hold in our vast collections (spanning from 1067 to the present day) and how to access them efficiently yourself.
Whether you are new to exploring archival materials or looking for a refresher on using our collections for your own research, this session is for you!
We usually run Starting Your Research sessions twice a month on different days and at different times (there is only one session in August):
11-11.45am on Tuesday 7 July, 4 August and 8 September 2026.
2.30-3.15pm on Wednesday 22 July and 23 September 2026.
Please note: spaces are limited - and Eventbrite will only show sessions that still have tickets available.
