"COME AS YOU ARE"
A session for the guys during Men’s Health Awareness Month
Breathwork. Movement. Padel. Food. Connection.
November is Men’s Health Awareness Month, so we’re creating four hours specifically for the guys.
This isn’t a seminar, a support group or a morning where anyone will be expected to share their story. It’s simply an opportunity for men to step away from the usual pressures, experience something different and spend time with a good group of people.
You don’t need to be particularly fit, good at padel or comfortable talking about your feelings.
Just come as you are.
"More than growing a moustache"Men’s Health Awareness Month has become synonymous with growing a moustache. That has helped start important conversations, but this event is about doing something together too.
We’re creating a space for men to breathe, move, play, eat and connect—without pressure, judgement or expectation.
All proceeds from the event will go to Movember, supporting its work to improve men’s mental and physical health.
What to expect:
Breathwork with James O’Keefe
We’ll begin with a guided breathwork experience led by James O’Keefe from The Unguarded Warrior.
James will take us through an emotive breathwork session, followed by something more energising and uplifting. It’s an opportunity to slow down, switch off from the outside world and reconnect with yourself.
No previous breathwork experience is needed.
Run (or walk)
We’ll then head outside for a group run of no more than 5K.
This isn’t a race. It will be inclusive, social and suitable for different abilities. You’re equally welcome to run, take it gently or sit this part out.
Two hours of padel
Back at PadelZone, we’ll have two hours of padel across the courts.
Whether you already play or have never picked up a racket, the focus is on having fun, moving and connecting with the other guys.
Barbecue from Smokey Steve’s
We’ll finish with a barbecue from Smokey Steve’s, giving everyone time to eat, relax and spend time together.
Who is it for?
This event is for men.
You don’t need to be struggling. You don’t need to arrive with a particular story. You don’t need to know anyone else attending.
Men’s health isn’t only about stepping in when something has gone wrong. It’s also about creating space to breathe, move, connect and look after ourselves before we reach that point.
Come on your own or bring a friend.
Come as you are. Leave feeling better.
What to bring
Comfortable clothes suitable for breathwork and movement
Running trainers if you would like to join the optional run
A change of clothes or an additional layer
Water
