Enhance your EMDR theory & practise around working with terror & complexity, plus professional planning & business development
This is an EMDR Beds, Bucks & Herts Regional Group CPD event that includes refreshments and lunch. It is aimed at all EMDR therapists who have completed basic EMDR training, EMDR Practitioners and EMDR Consultants.
We have designed a holistic programme to support you as a professional EMDR therapist including aspects of being an EMDR therapist in business. We feel the business aspect is an important part of our work that is often overlooked, and this will be particularly beneficial if you’re in business now, or if you’re planning this at any time in the future.
The day is designed to enhance your EMDR theory and practise around working with terror and complexity, provide information on confidentiality and professional clinical wills, and help you grow, develop and strengthen your EMDR business using networking and social media in a professional and effective way.
Our aims:
· Participants will develop their skills in a safe and supportive setting. Focussing on working with terror and different associated threat responses experienced by clients including working with more complex trauma and dissociation.
Participants will understand the basic neurobiology and physiology of associated threat responses and be able to identify the different threat responses experienced by clients with a focus on working with terror.
· Participants will learn strategies for working with complex clients particularly if processing get stuck or when there's dissociation.
· Participants will be encouraged to notice their own experience when clients are in a state of terror and to develop their ability to support themselves to guard against vicarious traumatisation and therapist burnout.
· Participants will understand what a professional clinical will is, the importance of having one and things to consider when creating a professional clinical will for yourself.
· Participants will increase their knowledge around how to use social media and networking to develop and strengthen their EMDR business.
The EDI aim is to ensure that the workshop is inclusive and accessible, both in content and delivery, so that all EMDR practitioners regardless of their personal or professional background can participate fully, benefit equally, and feel their voices are heard. The content of the workshop includes ways to adapt and make EMDR more accessible to all clients, taking into account their backgrounds, their diverse needs and presentations.

We are delighted to have secured the following presenters:
