Celebrate Manchester Pride with us! Join us for a closer look at some of the stories from our collections interpreted through a queer lens.

Manchester has a powerful legacy of grassroots activism, community solidarity, and celebratory protest. This special Manchester Pride edition of Collection Bites draws from our radical histories, highlighting LGBTQ+ voices, stories, and perspectives connected to a selection of the Museum's objects and specimens.

It will also include a discussion on how museum collections can be presented and interpreted through different LGBTQ+ experiences.

Collection Bites is an adult programme, however the content is suitable for all ages. Presented by the Museum’s Visitor Team, the talks are approx. 30 minutes. For this Manchester Pride special edition, the format will include several short talks in the Museum's galleries, followed by an informal discussion on the Top Floor. All locations are accessible by stairs or lift.
