About This Event

A women-only mindset workshop titled 'Our Relationship With Alcohol & Drugs' will occur on 26 October 2026 at Wythenshawe Forum Library. The workshop will focus on exploring habits, triggers, and healthier ways to manage stress in a supportive environment. It is designed for women interested in self-reflection regarding their relationship with alcohol and drugs.

A women-only mindset workshop exploring alcohol, habits, triggers, coping, social pressure and healthier ways to manage stress.

Have you ever stopped to think about why we drink, why certain environments influence our

choices, or why alcohol and drugs can sometimes become connected to confidence, socialising,

stress or escaping how we feel?

Join us for our next Amore Wellness Mindset Workshop, where we’ll explore our relationship

with alcohol, drugs, coping habits and the environments around us in a relaxed, supportive and

non-judgemental women-only space.

This workshop is about awareness and self-reflection — not labels or judgement.

You do not need to identify as having a problem with alcohol or drugs to attend.

You might simply be curious about your habits, thinking about drinking less, exploring sobriety,

questioning certain social environments or wanting to understand yourself better.

🧠 WHAT WE’LL EXPLORE

Throughout the session, we’ll look at topics including:

🧠 How habits form

Why repeated behaviours can start to feel automatic and how our brains can connect certain

people, places and emotions with particular behaviours.

🍷 Our relationship with alcohol

Why drinking is so normalised within social environments and what role it can play in

confidence, connection, stress relief and switching off.

🔄 Coping vs escaping

Exploring the difference between working through difficult emotions and temporarily trying to

avoid how we feel.

⚡ Understanding triggers

Looking at how stress, loneliness, relationships, social situations and environments can

influence our choices.

👭 Social pressure & belonging

Why saying no can sometimes feel difficult and why changing your habits can affect your sense

of belonging within certain friendship groups or environments.

🌱 Healthier coping strategies

Exploring alternative ways to manage stress, regulate emotions, connect with people and create

enjoyment.

💭 Identity & changing habits

Why changing your lifestyle can sometimes feel uncomfortable or like you're losing part of your

identity.

✨ Creating healthier boundaries

Giving yourself space to reflect on what you want your own relationship with alcohol,

substances and certain environments to look like.
