About This Event

The Understanding Neurodiversity and Wellbeing workshop in South Manchester will take place on 5 November 2026 at Crossacres Family Hub, aiming to impart parents with information about neurodiversity.

This workshop aims to impart parents with information about neurodiversity (different ways a person’s brain processes information).

This session is aimed at parents/carers of PRIMARY and SECONDARY school-aged children. *Other sessions in North and Central Manchester are also available.*

This workshop is led by senior mental health professionals working in the Mcr ND needs-led offer and will provide the opportunity to:

Develop your understanding of neurodiversity.

Consider what being neurodivergent might mean for your child/young person.

Think about factors that might impact on wellbeing for neurodivergent people.

Learn about approaches to support wellbeing and how to access further help.

Hear about the experiences of other families and share your own experiences if you wish.

Biscuits, tea and coffee will be provided.

If you need an interpreter to access the session, please ensure you fill in this information on the booking form. We need at least a week’s notice before the session to have the best chance of booking an interpreter. Each session can only cater for one interpreter so please book early if you require one.
