My Neurodivergent Self Workshop 3 regarding low mood and burnout is scheduled for 16 November 2026 in Margate. The session will be held at Community Creative Studios CIC as part of a six-workshop series. Tickets cost £6.13.
A gentle look at low mood and ND burnout, their causes and early signs, and how rest and support help. Part three of our six‑workshop series
In-person workshops 18+
Welcome to ‘My Neurodivergent Self’
A compassionate look at low mood and neurodivergent burnout, including possible causes, early signs and the importance of rest, understanding and appropriate support. We will explore ways to recognise our needs without blame or judgement. This is the third workshop in our six-part neurodivergent mental health and identity series.
Society often values conformity over individuality, leading to a lack of understanding and support for those with neurodivergent experiences. This expectation can result in isolation, marginalisation, and unnecessary challenges.
We create a safe space that acknowledges and celebrates differences, rather than dismissing them.
The in-person workshops will include presentation and discussion however, we wish to respect different communication styles, so please see below.
Traffic‑Light Communication Stickers
To help everyone feel comfortable and in control of how they interact , we use a simple traffic‑light sticker system. It lets you show your communication preferences without having to explain or use mouth words if you don’t want to.
🟢 Green — “I’m happy to chat.”
You’re open to conversation, questions, and general interaction. People can approach you, and you’ll join in freely.
🟡 Yellow — “I’ll join in when I choose.”
You’re here, you’re engaged, but you prefer to decide when and how you interact. People shouldn’t initiate with you unless you do first.
🔴 Red — “I’m listening or contributing in my own way.”
You prefer not to be approached directly. You might be listening, using non‑spoken communication, or participating quietly. No one should ask you questions or start a conversation unless you initiate it.
Eligibility.
This session is a dedicated neurodivergent space. It’s designed so ND people can show up as themselves, speak freely, and feel fully safe without needing to mask or manage professional roles.
ND professionals who are attending for their own personal reasons are very welcome — this space is for you too.
For non‑ND professionals, this particular workshop isn’t the right fit, simply because we’re protecting the environment and keeping it ND‑only. But you are genuinely welcome at our professionals’ workshops, which are built specifically for learning, insight, and lived‑experience‑led practice.
Thank you for understanding and for the work you do.
