Explore Pathological Demand Avoidance—or, as we prefer to call it, a Persistent Drive for Autonomy. This workshop considers what may be happening beneath demand avoidance, including anxiety, overwhelm, uncertainty and a strong need for control and safety. We will explore practical, neuro-affirming ways to reduce pressure, build trust and support an Autistic child or young adult without relying on compliance.
