Join us on Sunday 19th September 2027 for one of the UK's most popular late-season triathlons. Set at the stunning Box End Park, this event welcomes athletes of every ability, from first-time triathletes taking on their debut race to experienced competitors chasing a new personal best.

With Sprint, Standard and Odyssey Middle Distance races on offer, alongside Aquabike and Relay options, there's a challenge to suit everyone.

Choose Your Challenge

Whether you're looking to complete your first triathlon or take on a bigger endurance goal, there's an event for you.

The Sprint Distance is perfect for beginners or athletes looking for a fast and exciting race.

The Standard Distance follows the classic Olympic-distance format and offers the ideal next step for those wanting to test themselves over a longer course.

If you're ready for your biggest challenge yet, the Odyssey Middle Distance provides an epic race in one of the UK's most scenic triathlon venues.

For athletes who prefer to skip the run, the Aquabike option combines the swim and bike disciplines, while Relay Teams of two or three participants allow friends, family members or club mates to complete the race together.

Event Day Information

Racing will begin from 7:30am, with competitors setting off in allocated waves throughout the morning.

Your individual start time will be confirmed in the Final Event Information, which will be emailed approximately ten days before race day.

A Friendly & Inclusive Event

The ATW Box End Triathlon is designed to be welcoming for athletes of every age and ability. Whether you're aiming for a podium finish or simply looking to enjoy the experience, you'll receive the same outstanding support throughout the day.

The event is held under non-draft legal rules to ensure fair racing for everyone. The multi-lap course design creates a fantastic atmosphere and allows spectators plenty of opportunities to cheer competitors on throughout the race.

ATW is proud to provide an inclusive racing environment. Transgender athletes are warmly welcomed and, in line with the current policy introduced in January 2023, competitors are classified into the Female category (assigned female at birth) and the Open category (all other athletes).

Timings & Cut-Offs

There is a swim cut-off of 1 hour 30 minutes for all race distances.

There are no overall event cut-offs for either the Sprint or Standard distances, allowing participants to enjoy their race without unnecessary pressure. As a guide, Sprint winners typically finish in around 1 hour 15 minutes, while the final finishers usually complete the course in approximately 3 hours. Standard distance winners generally finish in around 2 hours 20 minutes, with the final competitors crossing the line in around 4 hours 45 minutes.

The Odyssey Middle Distance has a generous overall cut-off of 9 hours 30 minutes. Participants who are unlikely to finish within this time may be asked to reduce the number of run laps to ensure the event can be completed safely.

Every finisher will receive a bespoke finisher's medal, complimentary event photography, finish-line snacks and well-earned refreshments after crossing the line.

ATW Transfer & Refund Policy

At ATW, we understand that sometimes plans change. While we do not offer refunds or transfers to another person, we provide a hassle-free event transfer option for those unable to attend their booked event. If you are unable to participate in your scheduled event for any reason—including injury, illness, pregnancy, bereavement, or other unforeseen circumstances—you can transfer your entry to any future ATW event. There is no proof required, we trust you!

Even better news, transfers can be made all the way up to 48 hours before your original event date.
