Join or mechanic Nick for the first in a series of workshops, our first month is general trail maintenance on your bike.

The Maintenance course is designed to provide participants with the essential knowledge and practical skills required to fix your bike on the trail should something go wrong.

We will be looking at issues you might encounter on the trails and how to fix them as well as what to carry.

What tools to carry

Pre-ride equipment checks

Brakes: cable adjustment and pad/block adjustment and replacement – for caliper, V-brake and disc brakes (Depending on what bikes we have in-store)

Gears: indexing, cable adjustment, limit adjustment

Transmission: chain repair and replacement

Headset adjustment

Wheels: punctures, tyre repair

Emergency repairs: dealing with what can go wrong during a ride

You are welcome to bring along your own bike for the course. We have a number of demo's also. This is especially helpful so you can be confident working on your own bike.

Limited to 4 people per session.
