Roll up your sleeves and get stuck into our brand-new event of festive artisan bread-making! Proper bread should be made from just flour, water, yeast and salt – and nothing else! Guided by our master baker, you’ll craft up to four Christmas loaves, both savoury and sweet. You’ll leave with not only a bag full of freshly baked goodies but also a new-found love for home-made bread that will make shop-bought a thing of the past. Expect seasonal specialties like: + A Winter Enriched Sourdough + A festive Savory Brioche + A Christmas Eve Flatbread with warming spices and seeds + Stollen Mini Breads. In addition, festive demos will include a Rye Bread made with winter ale from Blackfriars’ very own brewery, a ciabatta with a merry twist, and tips on using roasted vegetable leftovers for the Boxing Day buffet table. You’ll also work on a special centrepiece for a festive get together with friends.
