Broadcast Bartender is a conversation event that borrows the architecture and social dynamics of the public house to host critical and convivial conversation. Initiated by artists Toby Lloyd and Andrew Wilson, Broadcast Bartender invites five guest drinkers and one guest bartender to a recorded conversation publicly shared as a radio broadcast.

Broadcast Bartender is an evolving project that can respond to different contexts and environments and previous iterations have had live-studio audiences and taken place in Working Men's Clubs, arts organisations, or in partnership with University Research groups. A theme for discussion may be agreed beforehand, but like all good pub conversation, side stories, anecdotes, and other improvised contributions are both expected and welcome.
