Paranormal Investigation at Greenside Community Centre

Join Kindred Spirit Investigations for a guided ghost hunting and paranormal investigation experience at Greenside Community Centre, a location known locally for its intense atmosphere and reports of unexplained activity after dark.

By day, the building feels familiar and welcoming. After hours, however, many describe a dramatic shift in atmosphere — heavy silence, an overwhelming sense of being watched, and subtle changes that are difficult to explain. This structured overnight investigation invites you to explore the building once night falls, guided by experienced investigators using real paranormal equipment.

This event is suitable for complete beginners and experienced investigators alike and is provided for entertainment purposes.

Why Ghost Hunt at Greenside Community Centre?

Few buildings in Ryton provoke such strong reactions after dark. Once a miners’ welfare hall, Greenside Community Centre was a place of refuge, laughter, hardship, and shared lives for those connected to Greenside Colliery. Many believe that the emotional energy of those working lives never fully faded.

Over the years, visitors and paranormal investigation teams have reported a range of unexplained experiences.

Reported Paranormal Activity Includes:

Whispering voices heard in empty corridors and closed rooms

Doors slamming shut without warning, even in still air

Unexplained footsteps when no one else is present

Shadowy figures briefly glimpsed moving between rooms

Sudden temperature drops, flickering lights, and electrical disturbances

Certain areas triggering intense unease or a strong urge to leave

Investigating Greenside Community Centre is not about theatrics or jump scares. It is about quietly exploring a space shaped by working lives, struggle, and loss — where echoes of the past may still remain.

Are you ready to walk its silent halls and discover what may still linger within?
