About This Event

Kirstie Mawhinney of Through the Trees will lead a guided Forest Bathing experience at Gibside in Newcastle on 27 September 2026 at 10:30. The event is free to attend.

Join Kirstie Mawhinney of Through the Trees for a guided Forest Bathing experience.

Forest Bathing is a slow, sensory experience proven to ease anxiety, calm the nervous system, and deepen your connection with the natural world.

This three-hour walk covers 1–1.5 miles at a relaxed pace. You’ll taste tea and cakes made from foraged produce, create simple eco-art and explore the forest through gentle movement, breathwork, and moments of stillness.

And in true National Trust style, your session will end with homemade cake baked by Kirstie.
