About This Event

The vibrant community of Newcastle welcomed a group of enthusiastic young voices at Newcastle Cathedral on November 18th, 2026, as ChoriStarters took to the stage for their inaugural performance. Led by professional musicians, these weekly sessions provide an enriching experience for children in Year 1 and Year 2 who have a passion for singing, offering them a platform to explore music and perform live within the historic setting of Newcastle Cathedral.

Does your child in Year 1 or Year 2 love to sing? Give them the chance to take part in fun, FREE musical sessions designed just for young voices! These weekly sessions are led by professional musicians and experienced music educators. Children will explore music through singing, learn simple music-reading skills, and begin developing healthy singing technique. Along the way, they’ll make new friends and enjoy the many benefits of singing, including improved confidence, wellbeing and creativity. To register their interest, please email music@newcastlecathedral.org.uk. Registration is required so we can share all the session details with you, including where each session will take place within the building. We look forward to welcoming your young singers and making music together!
