A workshop titled 'What Your Tech Team Isn't Telling You' is scheduled for 10 September 2026 at Cubo Newcastle in Newcastle. The event is free to attend and focuses on undisclosed issues within tech teams. Multiple speakers will contribute to the discussion.
A Masterclass for Business Owners
You are an expert in your field. You built a business around that expertise. But at some point, technology became a critical part of how you deliver it, and suddenly you found yourself relying on people who speak a language you were never meant to learn.
Projects run late. Explanations do not quite make sense. You suspect you are not getting full value but you do not have the technical knowledge to challenge it confidently.
If that sounds familiar, this event is for you.
What we will cover
In two hours, Ross Cooney and Matt Moran of Stable State Consulting will give you a practical framework for understanding, managing and getting more from your technology. Joining them is Neville Wharton, Managing Partner and Chartered Occupational Psychologist at Wharton Global, who will explore why so many technology problems are in fact people problems and what you can do about them.
You will leave knowing:
How to assess the health of your technology across five key areas
The questions to ask your tech team or suppliers that get straight answers
How to recognise when a technology problem is really a people problem
How to spot the warning signs before they become expensive problems
What your technology needs to look like if you ever plan to sell your business
Who this is for
This event is designed for business owners and founders who are experts in their field but did not set out to become technology managers. If you rely on a development team, a software agency or an IT supplier to keep your business running, this session will give you the tools to lead them with confidence.
Format
The session runs from 11:00 to 13:00. Lunch is provided. Places are strictly limited to 12 to keep the conversation genuine and allow time for questions.
This is an education-first event. We will share tools and frameworks you can act on the same day, whether or not you ever work with us.
