This month we're getting curious about resilience.

Life and business rarely go to plan.

Right now, businesses are navigating economic pressures, AI disruption and a rate of change that can make yesterday's success no guarantee of tomorrow's.

Or, as Mike Tyson is famously quoted:

"Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth."

The question is what happens next.

How do we respond when success is followed by setbacks, certainty by uncertainty, and we're forced to completely rethink what comes next?

How do we bounce back?

Our Curious Conversationalist is Mark O'Brien, former professional footballer with Derby County and Newport County.

Mark overcame heart surgery early in his career before going on to score the famous goal that helped keep Newport County in the Football League.

Then, at just 27, another heart condition forced him to retire and rethink life beyond football.

He's since written about his journey in Game of Two Hearts and now works with Newport County's community programme.

We'll explore adversity, identity, reinvention and that wonderful word: bouncebackability.

Because maybe resilience isn't about getting back to where you were.

It's about discovering where you can go next.
