This Halloween, we are hosting a workshop exploring the folklore of the poppet- a small human shaped effigy used in witchcraft that can be given meaning, intention and purpose.

Using ghost gear collected during our beach cleans, discarded fishing rope, netting and marine plastics, participants will create their own Ghost Gear Poppet. By using this material out of the ocean, we give it a new form and purpose, binding the plastic inside the poppet where it can do no further harm to marine life.

Bring your poppet to life with beach-found objects, binding them into its belly before imbuing it with its own mission through magic, intention and ritual.

A playful and slightly mysterious workshop bringing together marine conservation, folklore, making and magic — transforming the ghosts of the ocean into guardians of the sea.

This workshop will be at the Beach Guardian "Mission Centre" in Trevone, PL28 8QX.

Tickets are £25 per poppet created. (If you are a parent and child and make one between you it will be £25. If you make one each it will be £25 x 2).
