Explore Northampton Museum & the Guildhall on two guided tours celebrating Architecture Week 2026

Explore two of Northampton's most significant civic buildings as part of Architecture Week 2026.

This free, guided architectural walking tour offers a rare opportunity to discover the design, history and recent transformation of the Northampton Museum & Art Gallery, followed by an exclusive tour of the award-winning Guildhall.

The event begins at 4:15 pm at the Museum, where you'll learn about the building's heritage, refurbishment and role within the town. We will then take a short walk to the Guildhall for a guided tour starting at 5:30 pm, exploring one of Britain's finest Victorian Gothic civic buildings.

Whether you're an architect, student, heritage enthusiast or simply curious about Northampton's built environment, this event provides fascinating insights into two of the town's most iconic landmarks.

The event is free, but advance booking is essential.

Participants should wear comfortable footwear, as the event includes a short walk between venues.

The Museum tour lasts approximately 45 minutes, followed by a short walk to the Guildhall.
