The next frequently misunderstood and rarely open talked about topic in our discussion series will be the subject of Men's Mental Health. Despite the modern-day realities, there is still a lot of silence, ambiguity, and lack of open conversation on this topic. It seems that the topic of men and emotions is still not something we've fully tackled as a society.
Which is exactly why we have decided to tackle this subject in the usual unapologetically open, in-depth, honest, heart-felt manner.
This time we will be joined by several Guest Speakers with lived experience on the topic, sharing their knowledge and their stories, prior to you joining the conversation:
– Charlie Hodson | Entrepreneur & Investor | Hospitality Action
Charlie is
– Aaron Doddington-Smith | Norfolk and Waveney Mind (Connector)
Aaron is Men's Mental Health Community Connector for Norfolk and Waveney Mind. I was diagnosed with severe depression and anxiety last October and now use my journey of finding hope to look to support others in finding hope for themselves and those around them. I am looking to support men in the community by building relationship and helping them to get over the threshold of the required support. I am also building relationship with different businesses, charities and services to explore what mental health looks like for them and how they can support clients, customers, staff and volunteers.
– Jay Harrison | Norfolk & Waveney Mind (Suicide & Berevement)
Jay will not be one of our primary speakers, however, he will be there to provide some support and perspective, if and where needed.
