An evening cycle ride heading to Colwick Lakes is organised from Nottingham Railway Station on 2 September from 17:00. There is no cost for participation.
Join us on one of our last longer evening rides - we'll be heading to Colwick Lakes to hopefully catch the setting sun in all it's glory!
Come along on our evening ride for women only, we'll be taking a slightly longer, but still leisurely 9 mile bike ride out to Colwick Lakes Country Park via the new Waterside Bridge. This is a great ride for all cyclists as it is very flat and we'll be using lots of easy going off-road sections, cycle paths and quiet back roads. Please note, the nights are rapidly drawing in and you are advised to bring bike lights for the return leg of the ride.
We welcome women of all ages, abilities and backgrounds, we ride at the pace of the slowest rider, stop for breaks whenever you want and promise you will never be alone at the back!
MEETING POINT: outside the mini Tesco opposite the train station. Click here for a google pin.
TIME: meet at 5:45pm, ready to ride at 6pm.
Click here for a link to Komoot for the full route file.
You’ll be in safe hands, we’re experienced ride leaders who love cycling. Before and during the ride we will be sharing all the tips and tricks to get the most out of cycling.
This ride is organised by Women in Tandem, a Community Interest Company based in Nottingham that aims to support and empower women to ride bikes. The session is funded by The National Lottery Reaching Communities Fund.
You won’t need anything fancy, just a bike that rides, comfortable weather-appropriate clothing, water, snacks and some enthusiasm for cycling! Let us know if there is anything we can do to help enable you to join this ride.
