Join us for an interactive event celebrating the release of Where the Earth Holds Secrets by Eve Makis - a powerful new novel inspired by the true story of missing persons in Cyprus and the author’s own family history.

Eve will share insights into her research behind the book, the process of transforming personal and historical stories into fiction, and the hidden histories that shape families and communities across generations.

Audience members will also be invited to reflect on the hidden stories within their own families and communities. Come and share your memories, ask questions, and discuss other works shaped by personal histories.

About the Author:

Eve is the author of five novels, a writing guide and co-creator of the life-writing website the Minute Memoir. She teaches fiction on the MA Creative Writing at Nottingham Trent University. Where the Earth Holds Secrets was published by Claret Press in September.
