Prepare your goggles and ready your airships. A day of retro-futuristic wonder awaits at Britain’s ultimate iron marvel – Bennerley Viaduct
Learn about the history and stories (including the 1916 zeppelin raid) of The Iron Giant with a twist, whilst taking in the panoramic countryside views in the heart of the Erewash Valley.
Recently rescued by a grassroots group of Friends, and reopened to the public for cycling and walking, this 1400ft monument straddles the Derbyshire-Nottinghamshire border, with intricate lattice work and beautiful natural surroundings.
Walk along the new ramp and deck!

Practical Details:
The walk is approx. 90 minutes long.
The walk is relatively easy, access onto the viaduct is up an accessible ramp but the viaduct decking is flat.
We always welcome dogs but they must be kept on leads at all times!
