About This Event

The Community Festival walk will take place on 5 September 2026 at Belton Estate. The event is a 2.3k walk with a 67m ascent to Bellmount Tower. Participants will learn about the history of Belton Estate and walk along the original old road.

Enjoy the 2.3k walk, with a 67m ascent, to Bellmount Tower. Take in the rich history of Belton Estate and stroll along the original old road where carriages once travelled. Walk across the deer sanctuary with one of our rangers; this hallowed ground was once the site of a WWI training camp and your guide will reveal the history associated with the 170,000 men that had trained here. Finally, capture the stunning vista from the tower.

This walk is part of Belton's Community Festival which offers free access to the whole estate across the weekend of 5 and 6 September 2026.
