A course exploring links between domestic abuse and suicide, using case studies to assess risk and strengthen safe responses.

This 3.45 hour face-to-face course is for workers and volunteers from all sectors who want to understand the links between domestic abuse and suicide.

During the session you will:

improve your awareness of the links between domestic abuse and suicide.

explore case studies to inform understanding and increase the effectiveness of responses.

improve understanding of risk with regards to suicide in the context of domestic abuse.

identify local and national referral and signposting options

discuss local and national homicide reviews where suicide has been a factor.

Please be aware that this session will contain some information on different types of domestic abuse and suicide in some detail. This may be impacting for some delegates. If you are concerned about the potential impact of the content the training team can provide you with a more in-depth overview of the session. Though we provide as much support as possible before, during and after the session – take time to consider if this is the right session for you.
