Free face-to-face Pregnancy Group for Muslim women in Nottingham - Delivered by trained Muslim facilitators.

"We don't have any choices if we don't know what they are"

Antenatal education is crucial in helping families understabd and navigate NHS maternity care as well as help them advicate for themselves. Antenatal education can help prevent birth trauma as well as perinatal depression and anxiety. As Muslims, we are required to educate ourselves as much as we can on matters that are relevant to us.

We will be running regular, educational and support sessions for pregnant Muslim women in Nottingham between September 2026 and January 2027, which will run on Wednesdays 1pm-2.30pm:

30th Sept - Birth planning & choices

21st Oct - Postnatal recovery

25th Nov - Pain management

30th Dec - Preparing to breastfeed

27th Jan - Emotional wellbeing
