This drawing club gives you the chance to draw through the seasons en plein air in the beautiful setting of Grantham House garden. You will get to use a wide range of art materials, be part of a creative community at Grantham House and get to see how Vanessa uses different art media to translate the gardens. This is untutored so you will need to be able to draw independently. As the weather changes, the sessions will include still life drawing inside and quick sketching outside.

This new club builds on Vanessa’s previous drawing workshop sessions by giving you the chance to draw more independently in the garden, but have a much wider range of materials to get the chance to use. You will need to be able to draw independently as this club is untutored, but Vanessa will give helpful tips and tricks to support you and you will get the chance to see how Vanessa uses materials to translate the beautiful gardens and flowers grown there. For each session, Vanessa will bring a range of materials and papers for you to use and experiment with, and the ticket price includes a hot drink and a plain scone. Jam is available to buy separately. The club will include both working outside in the gardens, and inside if the weather gets too wet or cold - with a flower or natural materials still life to be inspired by.
