Nottingham City Council Independent Fostering Agency Event

Nottingham City Council is inviting Independent Fostering Agencies and fostering providers to join us for a provider engagement event to discuss our ambition to increase the availability and choice of high-quality foster homes for Nottingham children and young people.

Our priority is to enable more children to live locally, maintaining important connections with their families, schools, friendships and communities. We are keen to work collaboratively with providers to explore opportunities to develop fostering capacity within Nottingham and the surrounding area.

At this event, you will:

Hear from senior leaders about Nottingham's vision and priorities for children in care.

Hear directly from care-experienced young people about what matters most to them.

Learn about current and future sufficiency needs.

Discuss opportunities and challenges in recruiting and retaining foster carers locally.

Explore how the Council and providers can work together to support sustainable growth in fostering provision.

Help shape our future approach to engagement with the fostering market.

This will be an interactive session with opportunities to network, share ideas and contribute to discussions with commissioners, senior leaders and colleagues from across Children's Services.
