Join Wex Photo Video Nottingham & CANON for a full-day bird of prey photography experience at BB Falconry Centre, Risley.

Photograph a spectacular range of eagles, owls, hawks and falcons during this exclusive bird of prey and falconry photography experience.

Designed to help you build a varied portfolio of bird images, the day combines controlled portrait opportunities with action photography in more natural outdoor settings. You will have the chance to photograph birds that are not commonly seen in the UK, capturing everything from detailed close-up portraits to dramatic birds-in-flight images.

During the day, you will photograph birds in:

A private, studio-style open area, ideal for portraits, detailed close-ups and controlled compositions.

A four-acre flying field, providing opportunities to photograph birds in flight and within a more natural environment.

Wex Photo Video and Canon specialists will be available throughout the event to offer technical advice, photography guidance and hands-on support. Attendees will also have the opportunity to try a selection of Canon cameras and specialist lenses, subject to availability.

Schedule:

10am - 10.30am: Arrival, meet and greet, coffee and tea, unpack equipment, health and safety, meet the instructor

10.30am - 12pm: Static photography 1

2pm - 12.45pm: Lunch

12.45pm - 2.15pm: Flying photography

2.15pm - 2.30pm: Tea and coffee break 2

2.30pm - 3.30pm: Static shots around the farm

3.30pm - 4pm: Feedback and close

Lunch is included, with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options available when requested in advance.

Please bring:

Leave your camera at home and try out camera's and lenses from Canon.

If you are a Canon useer then bring your cameras and lenses.

Fully charged batteries.

Memory cards.

Suitable outdoor clothing.

Sturdy, weather-appropriate footwear.

Valid photographic identification will be required to borrow Canon equipment.
