What to bring

Clothing suitable to spend time outdoors in wet and cold weather, including waterproof coat and trousers, and boots with ankle support.

Notepad & pen if desired for note taking.

Catering

Please note that lunch is not included and there is nowhere to purchase food at Kingsdale Head. Attendees must bring a packed lunch. Hot drinks are provided.

Joining us on the day

Your course will start at 10:30am.

By car

Please help us reduce traffic in the Dales by sharing lifts where possible. We can help arrange carsharing from Skipton - please indicate when booking if you're interested.

Parking

Parking at Kingsdale Head Farm is limited and may be unsuitable for some vehicles. You will receive detailed instructions in advance of your course date.

Public transport

Kingsdale Head Farm is not directly accessible by public transport. The nearest bus stop is located in Ingleton. It may be possible to arrange lifts from Ingleton, or YPP's office in Skipton - please contact us for more information.

Accessibility

Participating fully in the course requires walking approx. 1km each way up a steep hill, and crossing boggy and uneven ground. If this sounds unsuitable for you or you have other access needs, please contact us at peat.training@yppartnership.org.uk to discuss.

A toilet is available at the course venue.

We are an umbrella organisation led by Yorkshire Wildlife Trust, the only charity entirely dedicated to conserving, protecting and enhancing Yorkshire's wildlife and wild places.
