A conversation with US expert Charles Durrett, on how we can create great neighbourhoods that work for everyone. inspired by cohousing. Join UK Cohousing Network, Transition by Design and Oxford Cohousing for an evening with cohousing pioneer Charles Durrett, exploring how cohousing can build stronger communities and help scale community-led housing across Oxford and the wider region. Charles Durrett will share insights from more than 40 years of designing and visiting cohousing communities around the world. Together with panellists Owen Jarvis, Wongani Mwanza and Fran Ryan — and in conversation with the audience — he will explore what we can learn from international experience and how cohousing can contribute to the next generation of thriving, connected neighbourhoods. There will be plenty of time for conversation and networking over refreshments, as well as an opportunity to buy signed copies of Charles’s books. We’ll then continue the conversation informally at a local pub. Ticket income will cover the costs of the event, with any surplus reinvested in training, support and advocacy to help grow the UK cohousing movement.
