About This Event

The Europaeum Annual Lecture 2026 will take place on 4 November 2026 at The Sheldonian Theatre in Oxford. The lecture will feature the Rt Hon Lord Hague, Chancellor of the University of Oxford, and is free to attend.

In the next instalment of our lectures, we are delighted to be joined by the Rt Hon Lord Hague, Chancellor of the University of Oxford.

The Chancellor, a Trustee of the Europaeum, will be addressing the multiple economic, security and technological challenges that face Europe today. He will argue that the future of the UK remains closely bound to the fortunes of Europe as a whole, and will set out ideas for resilience and renewal in our continent. He will discuss the vital role in this of universities, whose soft power has never been more important, and make the case for enhancing their work together.
