Join IHBC and IHBC Scotland Branch for a timely in-person training day on fire protection and Scottish legislation for historic buildings.
Delivered by expert Steve Emery CMI FireE of Heritage Fire Consultancy Ltd, training will consider the impact of fire on built heritage plus prevention and mitigation measures.
Specific topics include an overview of fires in historic buildings, legislation and guidance, fire doors and firefighting in cathedrals, churches and roofs.
The day will provide an opportunity to gain up-to-date knowledge in this critical area and discuss practical experiences with fellow professionals.
IHBC Competency: Technology.
Attendance: All are welcome including students (limited spaces) and those who are not members of IHBC.
Venue: The Category B listed Royal George Hotel, George Street Perth PH1 5LD ideally situated 15mins walk from Perth Station.
Programme:
9:45am for a 10am start.
Finishes at 4pm. Further details to follow.
Lunch, teas and coffees provided.
