Discover St Mary's Church and the Growth of Laira as a Communications Hub
This is a talk to be held inside the beautiful church of St. Mary the Virgin detailing how and why the church was built where it was and in the style it was. It will also explain how and why the area around Laira grew to become a key communications artery into and out of Plymouth. The talk is free of charge but we hope that all attendees can make a donation of at least £5 on the day. All funds raised are to help St Mary's undergo expensive but necessary repairs to its roof.
