Developing Your Novel Idea: 8-Week Writing Course

Have you always wanted to write a novel? Perhaps you have the beginnings of an idea but aren’t sure how to develop it into a complete story.

This eight-week, in-person creative writing course will guide you through the fundamentals of story development. Through practical exercises, discussion and supportive guidance, you’ll explore your story’s world, develop memorable characters and map out a clear plot.

By the end of the course, you’ll have a stronger, more structured novel idea and the foundations you need to begin writing your first scene with confidence.

Tuesdays, 7pm–9pm

Course dates:

• 29 September

• 6, 13 and 20 October

• 3, 10, 17 and 24 November

There will be no session on 27 October due to the half-term break.

Your £95 ticket reserves your place for the complete eight-week course and includes all eight sessions.

The course is held at Stoke Methodist Church in Plymouth, with a small group of no more than 12 participants.
