About This Event

Professional photographer Melanie Aldridge will lead a smartphone photography workshop at Kingston Lacy. The session covers lighting, depth of field, composition and editing. The event is on 26 September 2026 and requires admission.

From lighting and depth of field to composition and editing, Melanie Aldridge, (a professional photographer with over 25 years experience working all over the world) will show you all kinds of tips and tricks with lots of fun along the way.

On this workshop the group will spend approximately 90 minutes outdoors learning all about their smartphone camera settings as well as taking lots of pictures in the beautiful grounds of Kingston Lacy followed by around 30 minutes in the café discussing image editing and enhancing ideas.

Normal admission charges applies. National Trust members will need to show their membership cards at Visitor Reception and non-members will need to pay the admission price (from £23 per adult) or join the National Trust.
