THE DORCHESTER SPRINT TRIATHLON

A well-established sprint triathlon held in the heart of Dorset, offering a compact, scenic, and efficiently run race.

The Dorchester Sprint is a straightforward, well-managed event for experienced athletes and an accessible first triathlon for those new to the sport.

THE RACE

Swim – 300m Pool Swim

12 lengths of the pool with individual time-trial starts.

Athletes start at allocated times based on predicted swim speed.

Bike – 21km (approx.)

Rolling roads with panoramic views, including the climb to the historic Hardy’s Monument.

RACE DAY INFORMATION

Race start: 07:00

Start format: Individual time-trial swim starts

Registration & transition: 05:30–06:30 (race morning only)

Registration: On the day — nothing sent in advance

At registration, you’ll receive everything required to race.

SWIM TIME ENTRY (IMPORTANT)

Please enter an accurate swim time when registering to ensure correct start order.

Times must be entered in HH:MM:SS format.

Example: a 7 minute 30 second swim should be entered as 00:07:30.

ROUTES

Athletes are strongly encouraged to review the bike and run routes in advance.

Final route information will also be included in the Race Brief.
