The guided bat walk will take place around The Wildgrounds, a 67-acre nature reserve in Gosport. The walk will be led by Jim Park from Hampshire Bat Group, who will provide insights into the local flora and fauna, with a special focus on various species of bats. Participants will have the opportunity to see and hear these fascinating creatures in their natural habitat, thanks to the use of bat detectors that convert their ultrasound signals to sounds that can be heard.

A number of bat detectors will be available to borrow, but participants are also welcome to bring their own. To get the most out of the experience, it is recommended to bring a torch and wear sturdy footwear, as the ground can be uneven in places.
