About This Event
Chris Dewar, author of The Dyrne Hill Series, will be featured at the Shinfield Book Festival. Dewar, who has a background in storytelling for children, will discuss her work and inspirations. The event is scheduled for 24 October 2026 at Shinfield Cinema and is free to attend.
Chris Dewar the author of The Dyrne Hill Series of books. She was born in Weybridge, Surrey into a very large and extended family and spent most of my childhood roaming wild on my bike, building camps whenever and wherever I could, or making up stories of mysteries, treasure and ghosts for my siblings and cousins to enjoy reading.
As a young adult I travelled but finally settled in Berkshire with my husband and three children.
My kids loved reading and so I wrote Dyrne Hill for them.
I hope you enjoy the book as much as they did.
