Firefighter Recruitment Experience Event (Female only)

Date and Time: November 14, 2026 at 9:30 AM (GMT)

Venue: Salisbury Fire Station

Join us for a unique female-only firefighter recruitment experience designed to provide insight into the On-Call role of a Firefighter and experience some of the skills Firefighters learn along the journey.

The day begins with a briefing and kit sizing at 9:30 AM. Participants will then have the opportunity to engage in practical exercises such as ladder climbing, road traffic collision scenarios, and using a breathing apparatus.

This event also offers a chance to discuss on-call recruitment with the team and to experience what life is like as a Firefighter for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service.

This event is open to anyone living or working within Dorset and Wiltshire.

Participants must be 18 years or older and complete a consent form before attendance, including kit sizes.

If you would like to attend this event, please respond to the event with your contact details and we will email you with the questionaire, which needs to be completed and returned prior to the event.
