In this course we invite participants to explore the question ‘What lights you up?’ and how we can use creativity to support our wellbeing.

Join us for a free 10-week Well-City Salisbury creative course where we will explore creative writing and poetry prompts we will make zines; play with paint, printmaking and collage; explore cyanotype and silhouettes; and build 3D illuminated shadow boxes reflecting on the things in our lives that make us feel lit up.

Led by local artist Caroline Rudge, this is a friendly and supportive course that will suit all abilities. No previous experience is needed, just curiosity and a willingness to explore at your own pace in a welcoming inclusive space.

Sessions take place every Thursday, 12 November - 4 February, from 10:00 - 12:30pm at ArtCare's Cultural Club, Salisbury District Hospital. (break over the christmas break)

What’s it all about?

Our creative courses are for people living in Salisbury specifically within the SP1 – SP5 postcodes and are ideally suited to those with low to medium mental health needs– like anxiety, depression, low mood, stress, and feelings of social isolation.

The courses and support offered are designed for those looking to improve their mental and emotional wellbeing, connect with others, meet new people in a safe and supportive environment, explore new creative skills or learn more about local heritage and culture.

Please note that registering on Eventbrite does not automatically secure you a place on the course.

When you reserve a ticket, you will be sent a referral form which must be completed and returned. Your place will only be confirmed once the referral form has been completed and returned to the Well-City Salisbury team.
