Bookbinding Workshop at The Artist’s Barn Join artist and printmaker Maisie Keller for a relaxed, hands-on introduction to the art of bookbinding, hosted at The Artist’s Barn in Boyton, Wiltshire. This full-day workshop (10:30am–3:00pm) is designed for beginners and those curious about bookbinding. You’ll learn core techniques and leave with three handmade books, alongside the confidence and knowledge to continue bookbinding at home. What you’ll make During the workshop, you will create: A simple pamphlet booklet A Japanese stab-bound sketchbook A Coptic stitch journal What you’ll learn The session will cover: Bookbinding basics and structures Paper types and how to choose them Sewing and binding techniques Practical tips for developing your skills beyond the workshop What’s included All materials provided Expert tuition Three finished handmade books to take home Participants are encouraged to bring along recycled or decorative papers to personalise their book covers, though this is completely optional.
