Event dates & times Tuesdays 6-7:30pm August 18th August 25th September 1st September 8th About the event Join for our workshop series from wildflower collage to natural pigment painting. A mindful creative practice integrating art with nature. Wildflower collage – August 18th We’ll use dried foraged flowers and greenery to create patterns, landscapes, and abstract designs. Capturing the soundscape – August 25th We’ll explore how sound can inspire our way of drawing or painting. How it changes the movement, texture, and patterns of our creative practice. Natural sound from the garden, plus some musical sounds will be played to use as part of our creative palette. Ink and charcoal observations – September 1st We’ll use view finders to capture snapshots of nature, and draw what we see using ink, or charcoal. Natural pigment painting – September 8th We’ll experiment with natural pigment paint made from rock and clay. Seeking inspiration from nature, or imagination. All materials will be provided. The hope is for us to engage in this creative practice in the beautiful garden of the Salisbury Centre (if the weather allows!). Facilitator info Rachael is an artist and psychologist. Her group workshops often include practices of mindfulness, and creative expression. This series integrates her deep interest in promoting the benefits of being outdoors, exploring nature through art, and experimenting with creative tools and techniques.
