A little bit about me

Many members of my family have enjoyed creative pursuits. For my granny it was oil painting, for my grandpa it was woodwork and sculpture. My dad loved to draw and paint and my mum had endless projects on the go from sewing and knitting, to embroidery and rug making, from patchwork quilting to upholstery. Growing up, I tried many things and I loved learning new skills.

There followed a wonderful career in teaching, six years in the UK and thirty three years overseas, the vast majority of which was in Singapore. Now retired, I have returned to England and settled in Salisbury.

Four years ago, I began to paint with watercolours and I was smitten from the very start. Self-taught, I've sold paintings and cards at craft fairs and Etsy, and painted many one-off commissions for wedding presents and gifts.

Now I hope to inspire others to embrace their creative side and enjoy the wonderful world of watercolour!
