One of the biggest and most eagerly anticipated events in Scarborough's calendar will return this week, bringing four days of fairground excitement to the heart of the town. Scarborough Fair will take over William Street Coach Park from Wednesday 30 September to Saturday 3 October 2026, with a packed programme of rides and attractions for visitors of all ages.

Presented by International Fun Fairs, Roger Tuby and Stewart Robinson, the giant fun fair will bring together a broad selection of traditional favourites, modern thrill rides and family attractions. Whether visitors are looking for a fast-paced experience, a familiar fairground classic or an enjoyable day out with family and friends, the event will offer plenty to see and do across all four days.

Among the familiar favourites will be Waltzers and Dodgems, joined by a line-up of thrill rides and family rides. Towering over the fair will be the 40-metre Vertigo, the biggest attraction at the event and a striking feature of the Scarborough skyline during the fair's stay at William Street Coach Park.

New for 2026 is Ibiza Rocks, a recently launched ride that will open in Scarborough for the first time. Its debut will give returning visitors something fresh to experience while adding another major attraction to an already extensive ride line-up.

The four-day programme has been arranged to give visitors a range of opportunities to attend, from evening sessions during the week to a full day of fairground entertainment on Saturday.

Admission to Scarborough Fair is free throughout the four-day event, allowing visitors to enter the fairground, enjoy the atmosphere and choose the attractions that appeal to them. Charges apply for rides, games, food and refreshments.

Thursday afternoon will offer especially good value, with every ride available at half price from 3pm until 6pm. The promotion gives families and other visitors a three-hour opportunity to enjoy more of the fair's attractions before the event continues at its usual prices until 10pm.

Beyond the rides, the fair will feature a variety of games and a wide selection of food, creating a complete fairground experience for those who want to spend an afternoon or evening at the event.

· Wednesday 30 September: 5pm-10pm

· Thursday 1 October: 3pm-10pm, with all rides half price from 3pm-6pm

· Friday 2 October: 5pm-10pm

· Saturday 3 October: 1pm-10pm

Admission is free and most rides and attractions accept card payments or cash.
